In 2004, after moving back to Iowa from Arizona, Maja Hunt, joined her mom, Sanja at Every Bloomin' Thing, in Iowa City.  Her first role at the shop was the part time delivery person and bookkeeper.  When the 2008 flood forced Every Bloomin' Thing to lay off their entire staff, Maja stepped up and began to learn design.  Eleven years later, she has won Iowa City's Festival of Flowers 3 times and 1st place in the Professinal Category 6 times.

Every Bloomin' Thing is an English garden style shop that has been locally owned for over 30 years.  Maja enjoys creating one-of-a-kind custom designs specialzing in upscale, quality flowers and tropicals.  Whether vibrant or monochromatic, every arrangement is artfully composed.  She is always eager to assist clients in planning an unforgettable occasion from the wedding bouquets to the reception decor and loves doing on-location event consultations.  Her funeral arrangements beautifully convey expressions of sympathy that serve as a lovely memorial to the deceased.

When not working, she enjoys camping, cooking and hanging out with  family watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.
